Plot Synopsis

Starting her day off with a smile, the rabbit Piper walks to school with her friend Kai the fennec fox, only to find herself spacing out as everyone around her, including Kai relentlessly calls her by another name, Percy. When Kai notices her spacing out, he asks if it's because of a fight they'd had a few months earlier, saying he wants to apologize and go back to being a couple - but she doesn't remember a fight and didn't know they were a couple. She finally breaks down, revealing that she's unable to give him what he wants, because she's not Percy; rather, she's his alter and older sister, and Percy has been dormant for a long time. The story follows Piper's system "The Warren" and Kai, as they work to understand each other and themselves better.

How is it plural?

The primary perspective character throughout the story is The Warren, a system of five members - the dormant rabbit Percy, his older sister Piper, Harper the bluebird, Quinn the wolf(?), and Niko the stoat. The story revolves around their relationship with Percy's boyfriend Kai as they come out to him as a system, as well as navigating the issue of Percy's dormancy.
